From 1924 through today, The O'Neill Group has been carrying out a legacy of protecting our clients through custom-designed insurance programs.
In 1991, Patrick O'Neill formed The O'Neill Group, located in historic downtown Wadsworth, Ohio. The Charter School Resource Center, headed by Tom Van Auker, was developed shortly after to service the unique needs of the Charter School community.
Currently, the Charter School Resource Division protects over 100 schools, and has partnerships with several management companies that operate in Ohio as well as in other areas of the United States.

Thomas Van Auker heads the Charter School Division and is truly a leader in the school insurance industry. The CSRM (Certified School Risk Manager) designation implies that Tom is committed to excel in the area of Charter School Insurance and to provide the highest quality professional insurance programs to Charter School clients.
The designation certifies that Tom displays superior competency in measuring, handling, funding and administering school risks and is committed to meeting annual continuing education requirements to stay up-to-date with the ever-changing needs of charter, public and private schools. Tom is currently one of only an elite few nationwide to have earned the CSRM designation from The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.
